Gigs at The Troubadour

The Troubador normally holds gigs from Monday to Saturday, with music starting from 8pm.

If you are invited to play a gig at The Troubador, you will probably be asked to play for a Wednesday Session initially. Artists playing are required to bring at least 15 guests. Bear in mind that if you don't bring enough people, you probably won't be asked to perform again! Each session has four or five acts performing, and they tend to be booked a couple of months in advance. Sound check is usually from 6pm.

Set Lengths
Wednesday Sessions gigs offer acts a six song set (25 mins).
Rewards/Fees
Wednesday Sessions gigs are unpaid, but performers do receive dinner and a drink.

How to get a gig at The Troubadour

Gig slots are generally filled by promoters' acts quite far in advance of gigs. However, the venue will still consider your music in case anything suitable comes up. Just email John Talavera using the email address below. You should send:

If the venue thinks they might have a gig for you, they will get in touch. Sometimes it can take a while to listen to demos (3-4 weeks), but if you don't hear back, there just isn't anything suitable at the moment.
